DR. SARAH SHELL
NATUROPATHIC MEDICAL DOCTOR
Dr. Sarah Shell is a licensed Naturopathic Medical Doctor and integrative primary care physician in Arizona. She received a pre-med bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Omaha-Nebraska. During her undergrad, she juggled a career as a professional mixed martial arts cage fighter and was always searching for ways to optimize her own health and performance. Pursuing medical school was a natural transition to become a clinical expert in health and hormone optimization for herself and others.
Dr. Shell is the founder of Shell Medical Hormone Health and Wellness located in Chandler, Arizona. Her specialty is integrative primary care with an emphasis on hormone health (including thyroid/adrenals), autoimmunity, anti-aging medicine, GI issues, weight management and vitamin health. She is an expert at interpreting blood work to eliminate the guesswork and get to the root cause of symptoms. With a combination of expertise in conventional and alternative medicine, Dr. Shell presents her patients with multiple treatment options to address health from all angles.
Dr. Shell understands the high demands of balancing our work, social and family life. She is a proud Phoenix police wife, mother of three kids and loves anything related to fitness, health, dogs and the outdoors. Her personal journey has instilled a deep appreciation for the importance of optimal health to achieve balance and live our best life.

Office Fees
Follow-up Visit: $140
Blood Draw: $50
We are a SELF-PAY Clinic for office visits. We accept HSA/FSA, Debit, Cash, and Credit Cards and we bill any necessary bloodwork through your insurance via LabCorp. If you don’t have insurance, the INITIAL comprehensive panel is $500.
What To Expect
New Patient Visit (Saturdays only):
Your first visit may last 45-60 minutes. Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment if you have not already completed the new patient intake form. Dr. Riley will take your vitals and perform a brief physical. Your medical and personal history will be reviewed in detail, giving you ample opportunity to voice your questions and concerns. In most cases, patients should expect to return to clinic for a blood draw as baseline blood work is imperative prior to designing a treatment plan.
Blood Draw:
We offer in-clinic phlebotomy: Saturdays 7AM-10:30 AM for $50. We can also provide you a lab order at no charge within 1-2 business days after your appointment for you to take to your nearest Labcorp at your convenience. Most facilities open at 7AM!
Follow-up Visit:
When lab results are received, you will return for your first follow-up to discuss a customized treatment plan that fits into your lifestyle. Patients are given a clear and visual explanation about their diagnosis with targeted solutions. Dr. Shell takes the time to discuss lab results with patients, optimal ranges to strive for and how to get there. All patients receive an individualized, targeted treatment plan with an overarching goal of optimal wellness.

Basic: CBC, CMP, Lipid Panel
Adrenals: AM-Cortisol, DHEA
Thyroid: TSH, Free T4, Free T3, Thyroid Antibodies
Sex hormones: FSH, LH, estradiol, testosterone free/total, progesterone, SHBG
Diabetes/heart health: Insulin, HbA1c with EAG, hs-CRP
Vitamins: Iron, ferritin, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, folate, magnesium
Chronic infections/autoimmune screening: EBV, ANA
Will My Labs Be Covered?
LabCorp completes all lab testing for our office. View this list to see if LabCorp services are in-network with your insurance provider.
If yes, contact your insurance provider to inquire about your co-insurance for labs with LabCorp. If your insurance does not cover labs at 100%, this will explain the percentage that you are responsible to pay (before your deductible is met).

With bloodwork, we BILL your insurance but it’s not uncommon to receive a bill ranging from $300-600 (we run a full comprehensive panel) however this range is also dependent on your own insurance coverage plan. You can always call your insurance plan ahead and ask what your coinsurance for bloodwork is through LabCorp. If you ever receive a bill over $600 please do not pay it and bring it to our attention as there may be additional codes we can add to re-bill your insurance to bring the bill down!
